Dunhinda Odyssey is a relatively new and luxurious special tourist train service introduced by Sri Lanka Railways, aimed at promoting tourism and enhancing the travel experience through the country’s scenic upcountry routes.
First introduced in 05th of April 2024
It primarily operates on the Colombo to Badulla route, passing through popular destinations like Kandy, Nanu Oya (Nuwara Eliya), Haputale, Ella, Nine Arch and finally Badulla.
Named after the famous Dunhinda Falls, one of Sri Lanka’s most beautiful waterfalls, located near Badulla.
Introduced to offer a premium travel experience for both domestic and international tourists.
